G. Lesueur Hawks Football

Garrett has started his footall career this year! Here he is sitting with his buddy Rigdon after one of the games. Garrett plays Defensive Back on defense and on offense he is the runningback! He rushed for over 100 yards last saturday and scored a touchdown! He and Scott are usually out back doing blocking and tackling drills but we had to put a stop to it because Garrett kept hurting his older brother! Go BIG G!!!

visit from the tooth fairy

Kacey finally lost her first tooth. I asked her how much money she thought she would get and much to my surprise she said one dollar! I'm sure the tooth fairy was happy about that, I was expecting her to say five or even ten. The next morning she came in our room so excited waving her one dollar telling us she heard the tooth fairy's footsteps and her "fluttering" wings. I asked her if she opened her eyes and took a peek, and she said "oh no mom". I Love her sweet innocence. I'm sad to say this is the last of the "first tooths" in our family.

Garretts 12th birthday!!

I cannot believe that our little Garrett is 12 years old! He recently celebrated his birthday by going ice skating with his buddies and his family. We had a really fun time! Melissa and I are so blessed to have such good kids. I have to admit I got a little misty eyed (so did his mom!) when Garrett passed the sacrament for the first time. Scott blessed it that day also, so it was a special sunday for us. Garrett is everybodys friend! People love him right away after meeting him beause he is such a cool kid he just goes with the flow! He is excited to be playing tackle football for the first time this year so watch for the pictures and posts of him playing football soon!

Winter Formal

Scott went to his first High school dance last night. Demari Brown asked him to Winter formal. They have been out a few times and we think she is the sweetest girl. They had alot of fun, dinner, the dance and then ice skating. It's hard to believe our kids our growing up!

I love CHRISTMAS!!

I love this time of year!

This is what happens when the mother goes back to work!

Garett and Kacey decided to build a fort in my living room the other day. They used all my pillowes and blankets to create this masterpiece. They had a blast, playing for hours which turned into 2 days. They even talked me into letting them sleep in it on a school night! How could I say no? Even Mika got in on the fun!

Kacey's teaching moment

As parents we are always finding opportunites for simple teaching moments with are kids. Well last Saturday Kacey wanted to learn how to ride her bike. The kids had taken her training wheels off months ago and she hasn't been able to ride. She came to me and asked me if I could teach her. I told her I had lots of cleaning to do, but I would help later. Well I guess she went to everyone else in the family and asked them the same thing. So Kacey decided she would try to teach herself. I don't know how long she was out front, but she stuck with it until she taught herself to ride. I was feeling bad about not helping her but at the same time so proud of her for not giving up! Way to go Kacey!!
Now we can't get her off the bike, I've got to get her a helmet. Sunday morning she was the first one up and decided to go ride and she didn't tell anyone. Would hate for anything to happen to her.

Ward Fall Festival!

Our Ward Halloween party was Saturday night. Every year the Hastings in our ward host this great event, which by the way gets bigger every year, cause its opened to the public. I did'nt recognize alot of the people that were there! Its always so much fun, good food, good friends and lots of fun games and booths for the kids. Kacey is Hannah Montanna this halloween, which she has been planning since the summer. We had such a great time. Sorry ther are no pics of my boys I could never pin them down long enough to take a picture.
One of the more favorite attractions! We stood in line for a while for this ride!

Kacey trying to take a bite out of a donut. Notice how she is trying to keep her wig from falling off! Those dang halloween wigs you have to buy, and the kids hate to wear them cause they fall off and are sooo itchy!

Sorry guys, Russ and I didn't dress up for this Halloween party! Notice russ's hair is starting to come back in.

Emalie's cute friend Jessie came with us. Cute cowgirls, don't ya think? They helped paint faces.

Cher Meets Dr. Phil!

We were invited to a halloween party in are neighborhood Saturday night. If you know Russ and I at all you know this is not one of our favorite things to do, we do not like dressing up at all! It was a Hollywoood Celebrity theme, and Saturday afternoon we were still clueless on what we were going to be or if we even wanted to go at all. On our way to the costume store russ came up with the idea to be Dr. Phil, which I thought was such a graet idea. He said if I'm going to do this I'll have to shave my head. I couldn't believe he would go to such great lengths for this party. We had alot of fun finding everything for our costumes, and had a great time at the party. Everyone did a great job dressing up. I'm glad we decided to go. Even if it meant sacrificing Russ's hair!! Don't you think he makes a great Dr. Phil?

Russ after we shaved the rest of his hair off. He wasn't to excited about going to church. I think he looks Great!

Highland Hawks

We love this time of year! The weather is FINALLY under 100 degrees and we can enjoy football season! Scott plays wide receiver for HHS Varsity football. We love to go to the games and watch him play. As a mother though it can be a little nerve racking watching your son tackle and be tackled! Scott's life right now is all football, football, football. I feel like a never get to see him. He came home the other night about 6:30 from football practice, and turned right around to go play football with some friends! I do love that he loves it and it keeps him busy. GO HAWKS!!

Russell's 39th Birthday

Russ turned 39 on September 25th. He enjoyed it by golfing with his friends in the morning and going out that night with our our dearest friends in the whole wide world, Dave and Kristen. We went to Kona Grill and had a blast catching up and of course enjoying some good food. Happy Birthday hon, I Love You.
