Kacey's teaching moment

As parents we are always finding opportunites for simple teaching moments with are kids. Well last Saturday Kacey wanted to learn how to ride her bike. The kids had taken her training wheels off months ago and she hasn't been able to ride. She came to me and asked me if I could teach her. I told her I had lots of cleaning to do, but I would help later. Well I guess she went to everyone else in the family and asked them the same thing. So Kacey decided she would try to teach herself. I don't know how long she was out front, but she stuck with it until she taught herself to ride. I was feeling bad about not helping her but at the same time so proud of her for not giving up! Way to go Kacey!!
Now we can't get her off the bike, I've got to get her a helmet. Sunday morning she was the first one up and decided to go ride and she didn't tell anyone. Would hate for anything to happen to her.

Garrett showing Kacey how to do a Pop a wheelie. (I did't quite snap the picture in time!)

A picture of Kacey I forgot to post. The kindergartners were the 101 Dalmatians for there schools annual Halloween Parade of Characters.

This little girl has desired to be in charge of herself since day one. I'am surprised she even asked for help because theres not anything she can't do or will not try.Great job Kacey! She needs a basket for Mika so she can take her on outings.
